There are different ways to cut the wood. Depending on which woodcut is used, the wood image differs.
Grain during flat cut
The Flaring is a characteristic pattern the Grain . It is revealed using a certain cutting technique for wood. The wood flake is also called a flower and it runs in curves, which look similar to parabolas. The grain is much more heterogeneous with the tangential cut, i.e. flap cut, than with the Radial section
